Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday
4/18/2017

From the moment we entered the Fellowship Hall, a feeling of calm came over us.  The room was darkened, lighted only by candles.  The setting was tables placed in the shape of a cross with purple covering them and down the center was a swath of burlap.  Branches with thorns lined the tables, signifying the crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head.  Touching them gave you a very minute feeling of what He must have felt when they were pushed into his head.  Pastor Roger proceeded to give an account of what led up to the crucifixion, through Peter's eyes. Communion was served.  We were given pieces of paper, and asked to write whatever we felt, and then hammered them to a huge cross which was laid out before us.  Thank you, Pastor Roger, for the very moving and memorable service.
