Music at Westlake Presbyterian Church

Westlake Presbytarian Church Choir

If you are musically inclined and looking to lend your voice to our contemporary worship services, Westlake Presbyterian Church offers a chancel choir, praise team and bell choir. Our music teams include a diverse range of congregants, both young and old, that come together, fellowship and create the music that helps to make our services great.

Chancel choir

Meeting on Wednesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to practice music and to help lead worship, the chancel choir sings everything from traditional choral arrangements and spirituals to common hymns. The choir also prepares a cantata every year that helps to lead worship during Advent.

Praise team

The Praise Team at Westlake Presbyterian Church practices on Sunday mornings prior to worship and, occasionally, at other times when they are needed. The group helps to lead the congregation in singing praise songs and also prepares special music to accompany our contemporary worship services throughout the year.

Bell choir

While many churches no longer have an active bell choir, it has become a longstanding, beloved tradition at Westlake. Our choir, the Westlake Ringers, practice weekly during the year and celebrate an eclectic range of members, young and old. Helping to lead worship several times throughout the year, the group enjoys fellowshipping and creating music together.
